Goals
One of the main reasons that have motivated me to realise this project, has been to create a space for the Panya roject visitors to enjoy, with the intention of opening their creativity and developing their imagination beyond the mathematical.
I want to practice and experiment with different techniques and knowledge acquired in my last year of horticulture practice, testing how different types of plants and vegetables react in different environments in a tropical climate.

Fair trade
- Create a multi-functional space that meets some of the needs of the Panya project, my own personal needs, and the needs of the people who live here and visit us
Observations
The site before work
The Site
This space already has been worked by others before, and each one of them has worked it in different ways. I have found plants and other objects in random places, which do not correspond to the native fauna; small signs that different hands have interfered in that small area.
Living in the tropics is totally alien to what one is used to in temperate climates. In Thailand there are three distinct seasons: the dry and cold season, the dry and hot, and the monsoon that is the rainy season, in which I am about to start this project.

Living in the tropics is totally alien to what one is used to in temperate climates. In Thailand there are three distinct seasons: the dry and cold season, the dry and hot, and the monsoon that is the rainy season, in which I am about to start this project.
Normally the last gasp of monsoon are now in October, but still there is falling a lot of rain. So I have improvised a small covered nursery to start to grow vegetables, flowers and leafs, especially some of the seeds which I had brought from California for this project. As they are from a different climate I think that they may have a bigger challenge to develop.

The heavy rains and floods can cause some rot in the vegetables roots as they never have a time to dry. That could make me lose some of my crops.
In the picture above right you can see inside the site an area that has already been implemented previously, where I'll not do any changes.
Bellow you can see a basic site map before I have begun to implement, which shows the existing terraces on the left corner.
